Los Errantes present:
Djeliya
A circus and music tale for little ones from 6 years onwards
The latest creation for young audiences by ensemble Los Errantes, Djeliya is a piece for three performers and one musician, designed to be played in any
type of environment ranging from theatre spaces, to festivals, streets, parks, tents, etc.
A tale told through music, partner acrobatics and clowning, exploring the topics of overcoming loss and obstacles through the power of collaboration and friendship.
«In face of an evil spell, little Maïs is forced to escape her native village and go on an adventurous journey that will become a rite of passage for her. Backed by the fantastical Griot who guides her with his music and wisdom, she will learn about friendship, courage and cooperation in an enchanted world where bodies become trees to climb, oceans to cross and mountains to conquer. Together with two comical companions met en route, she will search a magic fruit which will enable her to save her friends back home.»

« Djeliya, a subtle piece wrapped up in live music of the Kora (West African harp), tackles the humanity lying within all of us and explores some fundamental life questions through humour and tenderness. » (Alingsås Tidning , oct 15)
Spec sheet
The piece is equally well suited for schools, festivals or theatres - both indoors as well as outdoors. We are particularly keen to take Djeliya to places where art is not easily accessible, such as remote villages or precarious locations. It is our objective to share the magic of tales with a maximum amount of children, young people and adults across all corners of the world.
